Irma Dragičević, soprano


With a voice that transcends genres and a passion that knows no boundaries, Irma has captivated audiences across the region with her talent and captivating performances. This extraordinary musical story is marked by her unique skill and talent for effortlessly blending different genres and creating a sound that is so uniquely hers – Irma’s sound. With an oeuvre that takes us from emotional sevdah to pop standards to timeless classics, Irma’s ability to draw inspiration from each of these musical sources is captivating, prov ing her versatility and depth of artistic expression.
The collaboration with the Busina Brass Quintet, one of the finest brass ensembles in Croatia, has proven that even such an unsual combination of instruments can lead to great perf ormances. Several of the very succesful last year’s open air concerts in the hot Summer nights have proven that this kind of musical combo, performing beloved evergreens, mesmerizes audiences.
Tina Horvat, trumpet,

completed her primary music education in Čakovec with prof. Vjeran Vidović (2006), and the High School of Music in Varaždin with prof. Darko Navoj (2010). He then enrolled at the Music Academy in Zagreb with Assoc. Marin Zokić (2010). She participated in the regional competition organized by HDGPP held in Bjelovar in 2010, where she won 1st prize. She won the 2nd prize at the National Competition for Music and Dance Students. In 2012, he won the 3rd prize at the Petar Konjović International Trumpet Competition in Belgrade. In 2013 she was a finalist in the Croatian competition of young music artists Papandopulo, and in 2014 she won the 1st prize at the Davorin Jenko International Trumpet Competition and was declared a laureate. That same year, she received a gold plaque at the Svirel International Competition. She has collaborated with the Zagreb Philharmonic and the Croatian National Theater Orchestra. As a student, through auditions, she gets the opportunity to perform solo with the accompaniment of professional orchestras in Croatia. In 2013, she performed with the wind orchestra of the Croatian Armed Forces, and in 2014 the Zagreb Philharmonic. She has participated in several seminars held by professors: Marin Zokić, Reinhold Friedrich, Rex Richardson, Stanko Arnold, Laura Vukobratović, Guido Segers, Sergio Carstea, Sebastian Gil Armas, Yigal Meltzer…
Since 2018 she is the principal solo trumpet player of the Rijeka Opera and Philharmonic.

Marko Mumlek, trumpet

was born on September 11, 2001 in Varaždin. He entered the music school in Varaždin at the age of six. In the beginning, he attended the program of the Children's Choir, while he started to study trumpet in the class of professor Darko Navoj at the age of 9. Since 2016, he continued his education at the Varaždin High school of music - where he made rapid progress from the very beginning. He participated in concerts in in cooperation with the "Jugend Sinfonie Orchester" of the music school from Ravensburg and the "nuSynergetic Orchestra", which operates as a new platform for musicians and upgrades the line-up and structure depending on the projects.In 2008, he has was named a soloist and the principal trumpet of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra and collaborates as a freelance member with the No Borders Orchestra, and the Busina Brass Quintet.

Vinko Rozic, horn

born in 1982 in Bjelovar. He completed his horn studies at the Music Academy in Zagreb in the class of prof. Stjepan Mateić. During his studies he also collaborated with prof. Boštjan Lipovšek from Ljubljana, and through seminars with prominent soloists and horn professors such as Hermann Baumann, Miklos Nagy, Radovan Vlatković, and Eric Penzel.
From 2004 to 2019 he was the soloist of the orchestra of the Opera of the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka at the 1st horn, and since 2019 he has been a member of the orchestra of the Opera of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb. He became a collaborative member of the Busina Brass Quintet in 2020.

Miro Markuš, horn

Miro Markuš was born in 1978 in Zagreb. He began his primary music education with the horn legend prof. Prerad Detiček and continued it in the class of prof. Stjepan Obadić, with whom he enrolled and completed secondary music school.
During his education, he participated in republican and state competitions and achieved notable successes: in 1990. He won the 1st prize in the republic Competition held in Križevci, which
allowed him to compete at the state level of the Yugoslav state competition in Belgrade, where he also won the 1st prize. In the Republic of Croatia in 1994., he won the 1st prize in the regional competition in Bjelovar and then the 1st prize at the State competition of Croatian music and dance competition held in Rijeka.
He graduated from the Music Academy in Zagreb in 2003 in the class of prof. Stjepan Mateić. During his education, he attended master classes with H. Baumann and A. Friedrich.
From 2005 to 2016, he has been a permanent member of the Croatian Armed Forces Orchestra and performed the duties of leader of the section: 1. Horn Solo, where he held the rank of Lieutenant.
In October 2016, having won the audition for the principal horn at the Zagreb City Theater "Komedija", he became a permanent member.
He has been a long-time permanent external collaborator of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb and Split, and the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, as well as various chamber ensembles with which he performs at home and abroad.
He has been collaborating on a non permanent basis with the Busina Brass Quintet since 2007.
